In Loving Memory

Rusty Lyn Nydegger
July 16th 2007 to December 16th 2009

With boken hearts we we say goodbye to our sweet little Rusty boy. He died unexpectedly in his sleep last night.

Rusty was one of the happiest dogs you could ever meet. We loved having him as a part of our family and we are just heartbroken that it ended much sooner than we ever would have expected. Rusty We love you so much and we will miss you.

The Nydeggers Visit

The Highlight of our Labor day weekend was a visit from Brett's parents (from SLC), and Brett's brother and sister-in-law and their their 4 Boys (from Chicago)!

This is Eli
We Took the whole family down to Hocking Hills to do a little hiking.
One of the hikes had standing water, and neither Rusty nor Isaac could resist the temptation, and both jumped right in, and Eli shortly followed.

This is James, he forgot his shoes, so he got a free ride for all of the hikes!

This is Danny, Katie and baby Sam

Brett and his dad were able to get some "man stuff" done and they installed a celing light in a couple rooms upstairs that didn't have one!

It is always so fun to have visitors! COME BACK SOON!

Calling all cooks! Last fall I started a cooking blog, It was really fun to share recipes with everyone, I loved it! But as love can do, It kind of "simmered" its self out of existence, HOWEVER, I am bringing it back baby! (I just posted a recipe today!))

Here is how it works:

You can post any sort of recipe, but it has to be something you have actually made yourself. Please include a pic to go along with your post. . Please make your blog title the name of the recipe. Please add appropriate labels to your post.

Check it out at : http://pinchofthisdashofthat.blogspot.com/

Just look at all these yummy pics... all of the recipes are on the blog... You know you want to be a part of this...

SO... If you are already an author, Please oh please get posting

OR, If you want to become an author, comment or email me and I will add you in and you can start posting

Rusty Swims!!!

Rusty has recently taken up a new hobby... swimming! We take him to the pond by our house, and up until a few weeks ago he has been too afraid to get all the way in the water, BUT he finally decided that the wanted to catch the ducks SOOO bad that it was worth a shot.
It is so funny to watch, because of course the ducks swim way faster than Rusty, so he swims his little heart out but can never quite catch one!
He gets so tired so it works out well for us!
Cute little guy!

Post Surgery Pictures

It's been a long road, but today I finally got my surgical splint off! I am doing well and feeling better and better every day. Here are some rather pathetic pictures the day of and a few days after my surgery.

This is a couple of hours before surgery. I have no idea why I looked so happy. Guess I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. Had I known, they would have had to tie me to the bed to keep me from running out the door.

This is a couple of hours after surgery. After four and a half hours of surgery this is how I look ... terrible!

The suction tube I am holding in my mouth here became my best friend. It helped take the blood and saliva out of my mouth. The only time it left my hands was when I had to get up to go the bathroom. I would suction out my nose and mouth about every 2 seconds.

Sleeping was especially tough because I had to wake up every few hours and take some sort of nasty medicine.

This is day 2, feeling a little better. Except the somewhat sad look on my face is because Brett told me I had to leave the suction tube at the hospital. It was a terrible farewell.

From here the swelling got worse for a few weeks, but is gradually going down.

Stay tuned for happier pictures to come.
